Laura has more than 20 years of experience assisting healthcare organizations and technology companies in addressing strategic healthcare information technology considerations. A former principal and practice leader for healthcare IT at a national consulting firm, Laura experienced traumatic brain injuries (TBI) in 2012 and 2018 which strengthened her perspective on the challenges patients face interacting with technology in pursuing their own healthcare. Laura is a frequent speaker and noted author, has chaired several HIMSS national committees and is a past President of HIMSS Washington.
Erick Maddox
Executive Director, Reliance eHeath Coop.
Erick entered the Health IT field about 20 years ago by accident having started his career in behavioral health working as a play therapist and drug and alcohol abuse counselor for children in foster care. Shortly after starting off his clinical career, Erick found his way beyond clinical care and into operations to include information technology and financial management. After working on the Office of the National Coordinators Regional Extension Center for Health Information efforts and helping to establish the Nevada Health Information Exchange, Erick relocated to Oregon to join Reliance eHealth Collaborative.
Chad Cagnolatti, RN

Chad has over 20 years of healthcare and information technology experience as a Registered Nurse, IT implementation executive and industry advisor. Chad has expert knowledge in critical success channels, his experience includes: IT solutions strategy and selection, current and future state workflow analysis, operational process improvement and work systems re: engineering, program management methodologies, integrated system design, clinical application build, testing, conversion support, system optimization, IT structure and governance, and coordination of enterprise scale implementations.
Paul Matthews
CIO, OCHIN
Paul has extensive experience implementing HIEs and EHRs for independent physician offices, and federally qualified health centers. He has broad exposure to health care IT with a focus on effective infrastructure, systems redesign and strategic planning. Paul is also interested in leveraging IT to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of businesses and especially not-for-profit organizations.
Russell Kite
Manager, Clinical Quality Data, Cambria Health
All things HEDIS quality programs has been the focus for Russ for the last 10 years at Regence. Prior to that he worked in quality programs for another payor, completed research on state and federal programs and worked in provider offices and hospitals. His role has expanded over the years from primarily HEDIS and STAR’s work to include setting up provider groups to deliver clinical data feeds and working with cambia’s value based programs and internal interoperability program and efforts.
